Who We Work With

& when we might not be the right fit

We’re intentional about the services we provide. Every enquiry is carefully reviewed by our clinical team so we can make sure the support we offer is safe, appropriate, and genuinely helpful for you.

Telehealth works very well for many people, but some situations are better supported in other ways. If we think another service could meet your needs more effectively, we’ll talk this through with you and help point you in the right direction. As much as we would love to support everyone who reaches out, the most important thing is that you receive the right kind of care.

Sometimes that means helping you find services that are better suited to your situation. Being open and honest on your intake form really helps us make the best decision with you. The more we understand your needs, the easier it is to work out whether we’re the right fit or help connect you with other supports if needed.

Our goal isn’t to exclude anyone. It’s to make sure you receive support that is safe, appropriate, and genuinely helpful.

When We May Not Be the Right Fit

Crisis or Immediate Risk Support

We are unable to provide treatment for:

Acute or immediate suicide risk, Active psychosis or situations where someone is at immediate risk of harming themselves or others.

These situations require in-person, intensive support. If you need urgent help, please contact: 000, Lifeline 13 11 14 or your local hospital emergency department.

High-Risk Eating Disorders

We are not able to provide treatment for active, high-risk eating disorders such as Anorexia nervosa or Bulimia nervosa.

These conditions typically require in-person, multidisciplinary care.

Higher-Risk or Intensive Support Needs outside of our scope

We may not be the right fit for people where we assess there are safety risks, crisis presentations, or support needs that require face-to-face treatment.

This may include active suicide risk, frequent or severe self-injurious behaviour (including non-suicidal self-injury), or support needs that require consistent in-person or multidisciplinary care.

When Telehealth Isn’t Accessible

We are a telehealth-only service. We may not be suitable if someone is unable to engage in a telehealth appointment at all.

However:

  • We do work with people with high support needs

  • We do work with children who can participate in telehealth

  • We offer parent and carer support services for families supporting individuals who cannot attend sessions themselves

If you’re unsure whether telehealth will work for you, we’re happy to talk it through.

WorkCover Claims

We do not currently provide services under WorkCover, as our clinicians are not registered for this scheme.

Forensic or Court-Related Services

We do not provide:

Family Court Reports, Court-ordered treatment, Forensic assessments, Treatment related to open criminal matters, Services for individuals on parole or community corrections, Treatment for violent or sexual offending or risk of offending

If you require forensic services, we can help guide you toward clinicians who specialise in this area.
