Our goal is to provide clarity,
validation, and a deeper understanding
of how your brain works.
Our Assessment Process
Our neuro-affirming Autism assessments consist of 3-4 hours of interview time.
Appointments can be scheduled in one- or two-hour blocks, depending on your preference and capacity. Our team will work with you to structure the sessions in a way that supports comfort, pacing, and a thorough assessment process.
-
In your appointment, we will talk about your possible Autistic traits using the MIGDAS-2 and DIVA-5 interview tools. We will discuss Autistic traits in both adulthood and childhood.
-
If you are under 25, we ask that you bring a parent, carer, or an adult who knew you as a child.
-
If you are over 25, you are welcome to bring a support person.
-
You will be invited to complete online questionnaires prior to or during the assessment process. These measures help provide additional information about attention, executive functioning, sensory experiences, and other relevant areas.
Once the assessment process is complete, you will attend a 1-hour feedback session with your assessor.
During this session, we will:
-
Discuss the assessment findings
-
Explain how they relate to diagnostic criteria (if applicable)
-
Provide recommendations for supports, strategies, or next steps
This is also your opportunity to ask questions and reflect on the information in a supportive and collaborative space.
-
Fees & Frequently Asked Questions
Autism assessment fees range from $2000 to $2500, depending on your clinicians experience.
-
Senior clinicians: $2500
-
Other clinicians: $2000
Fees include interview time, questionnaires, and a comprehensive written report. All registered and provisional psychologists are supervised by our senior clinicians.
Please refer to the clinician's profile page for their specific assessment fee.
Summary Letter Option
We also offer a shorter summary letter option for individuals who do not require a comprehensive report.
This includes a brief written summary of the assessment outcomes rather than a detailed diagnostic report. The fee for this option is lower than the full assessment report.
If you are interested in this option, please contact our admin team to discuss whether it is suitable for your needs.
*Fees are based on a standard assessment with up to 3 hours of interview time. If additional time is required due to complexity, we will contact you beforehand with an updated quote.-
You are welcome to pay privately for your assessment.
Medicare may provide rebates for Autism assessments for people under 25 years old, when you have a referral from a paediatrician or psychiatrist.
You may be able to access:
-
Private health fund rebates (depending on your provider and level of cover). If you plan to claim through private health, please let us know as you will need to see a registered psychologist.
-
NDIS funding. If you are plan-managed, please check with your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager to confirm whether your assessment can be covered.
-
We provide ADHD assessments for:
-
Adults
-
Teenagers (13 years and older)
-
Children*
*For children aged 12 years and under, we generally recommend in-person assessments, as these can include play-based elements and allow for richer observation. However, we understand that in-person appointments are not always possible, particularly for those in regional or remote areas, or where they are medical, developmental, or disability-related barriers. If telehealth is the most practical option for you, please reach out to our team to see how we can best support you.

Autism Assessments
We are here to move beyond outdated stereotypes and create space for Autistic people to be understood in all their diversity. Our neurodivergent and neuro-affirming team provides comprehensive Autism assessments that recognise the many ways Autistic people can present — including internalised, masked, or externally coping profiles that are often overlooked.
Our Autism assessments are trauma-informed and we understand that Autistic people are more likely to have experienced trauma than their neurotypical peers. Rather than asking whether it’s Autism or trauma, we explore neurodivergence and trauma together, and how these experiences interact.
We also provide thorough differential diagnosis to distinguish Autism from other neurodevelopmental differences, complex trauma, and mental health conditions.
