Jhailyne de Guzman

Provisional Psychologist

Hey there! My name is Jaie, and when I'm not working or parenting, I like to do absolutely nothing. A cold, dark room is my idea of bliss. Unfortunately for neurodivergent people, the real world often forces us out of our safe spaces and into uncomfortable, demanding, and overwhelming sensory and social situations.

I am on a journey of continually learning to balance the demands of having a neurodivergent brain and body while also being expected to work, parent and interact with other people. If the real world makes you feel anxious-af, I'd be honoured to help you on your journey towards understanding yourself and working out what you need to be comfortbale in the world.

More about Jaie

Home state: VIC
My eye sparkles and SpIns (special interests) include:
I love music - I love to sing and perform. Something that makes me feel so excited and alive. In my free time, I spend exercising and with my family. I love to study and learn about natural disasters! Geekiest thing - playing Pokémon uncontrollably for extended periods of time.

Here are 3 things I believe with all my heart to be true:

  1. Having the right people to support us means we have a chance for better outcomes

  2. The world is not well equipped to support neurodiversity! There’s still a long way to go.

  3. Life isn’t about what you achieve or accomplish - it’s about the moments you feel alive.

Appointments

  • Jaie works with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Jaie's wait list is estimated to be around 1 to 2 months. This is only a rough estimate; our waitlists can be fluid, and sometimes there is movement, which means we might be able to offer you an earlier appointment that pops up.

  • When we have an assessment appointment available, our dedicated admin team will send you our assessment intake form and ask for a deposit of $500.00. Our full assessment intake form includes questionnaires for the assessment and requests information about your developmental, educational, social and mental health history. Our senior clinicians will then review the form and allocate you to the assessor with the skills and experience to meet your needs.

  • We also request your credit card, debit card, or Paypal details. Rest assured that we take card security seriously, and your details are stored securely on our client management system, Halaxy. This security measure helps us prevent theft and fraud. No one at Very Helpful Chats will have access to your card details. If you have any concerns or questions regarding the security of your card details, we encourage you to read more about Halaxy's card security here: Halaxy Card Security FAQs
