I believe that focussing on ‘what happened to you’ is far more powerful than a ‘what is wrong with you’ approach, which has too often dominated mental health services. Together, we will uncover your confidence, pride and ability to take charge of your life. I want to help you find your voice and to be able to use it – to put in better boundaries with the people around you, and to also connect to new people where you can create a healthy, vibrant community around you.

  • Nova's appointment fee is $270.00 per 50-minute appointment.

  • The fee for plan-managed NDIS clients is per the NDIS price guide for psychologists in your state.

  • Medicare rebates are available for appointments with Nova, with a rebate of $93.35

  • Private health insurance rebates are available, depending on your fund and level of cover.


  • Nova works with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Nova's therapy wait list is estimated to be around 4 to 8 months. This is only a rough estimate, as our waitlists can be quite fluid, and sometimes there is movement, which means we might have unexpected appointments that pop up earlier than this.

  • While you are waiting, we encourage you to ask us to put you on Nova's 'cancellation list' so we can contact you if there are any cancelled appointments we need to fill. This can help us get you into the earliest possible appointment.

  • After you get in touch with us, our dedicated admin team will send you our brief 'waitlist and matching intake form'. This form is designed to gather basic information about your needs to make sure we can offer you the service you need. This form also helps us match you with a clinician who has the skills and experience to meet your needs.

  • Once we are able to offer you an appointment, we will send you a second intake form. This form goes into greater detail and aims to gather more specific information about your history and current situation to enable your allocated clinician to better prepare for your appointment.

  • As part of the second intake form, we also request your credit card, debit card, or Paypal details. Rest assured that we take card security seriously, and your details are stored securely on our client management system, Halaxy. This security measure helps us prevent theft and fraud. No one at Very Helpful Chats will have access to your card details.
