Catherine Vu

Registered Psychologist

Howdy! My name is Catherine, and I am a Psychologist. I am kind, curious, and keen to support people in understanding themselves and exploring their neurodivergence. I want to learn about your special interests and what makes you you. Life can present a kaleidoscope of challenges, especially when you're neurodivergent. Have you ever been told that you need to calm down, or that you're being too loud? As a neurodivergent person, there can be many moments where we just don't seem to connect with the people around us. Feeling different to other people is a very common experience that ends up in a lot of lonely places. But guess what? You're not alone and you no longer have to say 'I'm fine' if it's not true. It's perfectly okay not to have all the answers right now, because taking that first step into therapy is an act of courage.

Some of the things that make me 'me':

Other people may describe me as:

Life is too short to not be weird!

Let's work together to create a strategy that really speaks to who you are. We want to make sure your voice is heard and understood while finding a script that suits your unique style. Discussing these matters with family, friends, and teachers might feel like threading a needle in the dark, but no worries—I'm here to help you find the right words and strategies. Whether it's about pronouns, names, or tweaking things in the classroom, we'll work on a plan together to advocate for your needs.

More about Freddie

Home state: WA

My eye sparkles and SpIns (special interests) include:

  • Animals - especially spending time with my pets!

  • Art, music, fashion, and politics. I love looking up covers and musical rearrangements - especially acoustic, piano, strings or electronic covers.

  • I enjoy DDR - the rhythm game at arcades - I have a metal dance pad at home to play it!

Here are 3 things I believe with all my heart to be true:

  1. Neurodivergence is normal and not a bad thing.

  2. Life is too short to not be weird.

  3. Learning is a lifelong process.
